Enjoy your child's wondrous response as
he or she becomes acquainted with Mocha, the
Real Doctor, a lyrical, amusing story told in the manner
of Margaret Wise Brown's Goodnight Moon.
Mocha lives in Dr. Susan's animal clinic where he sleeps all
day. But wait! When the staff goes home, Mocha begins his rounds
as he calls on a variety of hurting animals. Mocha gently sings,
purrs and coaxes patients to health: the turtle who won't come
out of his shell, kittens so tiny their eyes are still closed,
a white rabbit with a sore foot. Dr. Mocha's gravest challenge
is saved for last, a goldfish who has forgotten how to swim.
Tempted to eat the helpless fish, Mocha remembers his true calling
and goes about saving the goldfish.
Children
will be enthralled with Mocha and his exploits as the real
doctor who resides at Dr. Susan's clinic.
